hope everyone had a lovely weekend! the other day, i remembered that pure hapa was planning to freshen up its look and popped over to the website where i found almost the entire product line has been given a makeover to better reflect pure hapa's tropical heritage. being that i am a sucker for pretty packaging and cute little birds, i couldn't resist sharing a few peeks of the new look:

the newest arrival is pure hapa's makana milk facial cleanser made with coconut milk, hawaiian honey and rice bran extract. and you will be happy to know that many of the treats from the skincare line are now available in travel size doses which is also a budget friendly way to sample a product before making a commitment.

just a quick update with a few new products from island beauty companies. bubble shack has added a lotion line made of 70% organic ingredients including macadamia nut oil, shea butter, aloe vera and antioxidants like vitamins a, b, d & e. the super moisturizing combo is supposed to sink into your skin without leaving a greasy residue behind. available in 8 of bubble shacks' popular fragrances.

the shack also retired a few soaps to make room for four new creations:

• south shore sweetie: citrus blend of tangerine & japanese yuzu
• wilds of manoa: a lush rainforest bath experience

girl's day may have come & gone but i still have a few more beauty lines to share. malie kaua'i brings something a little different to the beauty scene with their emphasis on using hydrosols (basically the water vapor left behind from distilling flowers when producing essential oils) instead of synthetic fragrances.

i usually get the sniffies & headaches when wearing traditional fragrance so malie's floral water perfume made from flowers grown on kauai sounds like a nice alternative. malie has generated a lot of buzz since they launched and has been raved about in lucky & o.

one of the best named product lines has got to be pure hapa. of course, as a hapa girl i'm not biased or anything, lol. pure hapa's creator nadyne kim-orona may have grown up on the mainland but her product line was inspired by the beauty secrets of her multi-ethnic family in hawaii.
