baby loves disco has finally arrived in the islands and is hosting their inaugural event at the o lounge on saturday! the brilliant idea started in philadelphia back in 2004 as a way for parents to escape the house and hit the club with their little ones and now hosts daytime dance parties in 27 cities and 6 countries.

thanks to one enterprising mom, you get to hang with grown ups while getting down on the dance floor with your keiki. the price of admission includes a dj spinning tunes, bubbles, a chill out space plus snacks and a diaper changing station. all ages are welcome but, while your kids won't be carded, keep in mind that baby loves disco is structured for keiki between 6 months to 7 years.

it seems while my fella and i jockeyed for computer time during the wga strike that wst4u (sister company to queens candy shop) launched an online version of their ebay store to bring discounted designs from the likes of alice + olivia, l.a.m.b., marc jacobs & rebecca taylor to the people 24/7.

everything is brand new and priced to sell (a quick price check turned up earl jeans for $33), but you have to act fast since sizes and styles are limited.

in other news, liana from the mixed plate blog recovered from her move to the bay area and has recently re-opened her online keiki boutique punk-n-pie. my friends and i were obsessed with the outsiders growing up so it's nice to see ponyboy and his buddies get a little love via the freshly stocked greaser jeans. stay gold!

after dying eggs with my cousins in my aunty's kitchen, chocolate bunnies were, hands down, my favorite part of the holiday so enjoy this impromptu roundup of easter finds for both little ones and the young at heart:

continuing on with more good things for your keiki, check out my baby our baby, a hawaii/sf-based internet start up that recently rolled out a community photo sharing service starring the little one in your life. the service was created by ray hernandez & beau lebens who combined their considerable tech experience after fielding repeated requests from friends and family to create slick websites for their new arrivals.

the result of all their hard work: my baby our baby - one part flickr, one part blog, and a cool shortcut to create a virtual scrapbook for parents (plus invited friends and 'ohana) to share photos snapped via the various forms of digital paraphernalia which have become so essential to modern life. everyone in your group can upload photos snapped on their camera or cell phone, jot down the back story of the moment, and parents can keep their peeps posted on all the latest firsts from baby hq.
